Conquering Alport Syndrome

Registration is now closed but you can still register tomorrow (Saturday) at Sole Sports, 1006 E. Warner Road, Tempe, AZ 85284 during packet pickup from 10:00 am-1:30 pm or Sunday on race day at 7:00 am. Registration increases $5 per person.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 29! Kiwanis Community Park in Tempe, Arizona.

This annual family-friendly run/walk is held every spring to celebrate life and promote awareness of Alport syndrome as well as the risks of chronic kidney disease, and the benefits of organ donation.

Alport syndrome is a rare hereditary kidney disease that causes a decline in kidney function, hearing loss and vision problems. There is currently no treatment proven to prevent the development of kidney failure in people with Alport syndrome; however, early diagnosis is essential as there are medications to delay the progression of the disease. There is no cure for Alport syndrome.

Funds raised will go toward outreach, awareness and patient support.
